This is a genuine example of a true piece of obsidian for a Rolex day-date. This is the only example we can find for sale right now, especially in the condition it is in. There used to be examples of Onyx dials that had tarnished or faded, and people would call those "obsidian," but this is a factory example of a volcanic glass dial that Rolex produced in such few quantities that we are very excited to host here at Aletto Jewelers.
